John T. Ferguson

Artist Statement:

I am a sculptor who works primarily in steel, often times incorporating contrasting material such as concrete, glass, rock, wood or reed. Although still emerging, I have pursued art for over thirty years. My sculptures juxtapose textural and material differences to produce pieces that take on an implied antiquity. My work continues to focus on the relationships between man, his nature and the continued quest for something more. My sculptures attempt to evoke personal growth. How they are positioned and relate to their environment is an important component of my work. My work is on display and collected in Minnesota, Nevada, Iowa, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado.
